In searching the Caldwell/Quarll branch of the Maule family, I noticed in the 1850 census of Md. (Baltimore) a Henry Reip (along with Margaret, presumably his wife, Lawrence and Lavinia) listed with William Quarll Caldwell. They are mingled, so there must have been some connection. The 1850 census does not disclose relationships. Any ideas?

I have pictures of some of the Reips. I am also actively finding Reip descendents seeking to update the information by my cousin, Luverne Harstin who passed away in 2006, and to do something that she did not.

Genealogy information is a wonderful thing but have you ever wondered what some of these people look like? Did you ever ask the question of where you got this or that from? Wouldn't it also be nice to place a picture with a name of your ancestors?

I am actively seeking any of all descendents of Adam Reip and Edith Chenoweth to put together a digital archive that can be shared with anyone. I only have a few pictures to start and my end goal to gather at least one picture (the more the better) of each of Adam and Edith's children, grandchildren, etc (living descendents can include 1 of themselves if they wish) and other living Chenoweth and Reip family, and cousins of, descendents.

Here is a list of the pictures I have:

Adam Reip and Edith Chenoweth, date unknown (1880's?)
Edith Bell Reip Wood, daughter of Adam and Edith
Edith Belle Reip Wood with cousin Jemima Chenoweth Corder
Lucinda Reip Smith, granddaughter of Adam and Edith
Peter Alexander Reip, son of Adam and Edith
Susanna Reip Mollohan, sister of Adam Reip

I'll be posting a seperate message detailing some of what I have in the hopes that I can put together a digital archive that can be shared with everyone of all the children and greandchilden, etc of Adam and Edith.

I dont know if any other pictures of Adam Reip in existance and I'm sure there will be many, many people that will want to have a copy of it.

I went looking for a REIP mailing list and did not find one, but here is as message board. I just received them in the mail from the original finder and I have no real idea who these excellent pictures really belong to I am wlling to scan in the one of David REIP in order to try to find the family that these pictures should go to.

Hi am researching my husbands tree and I see that you are in his tree. But he is through Ira Grant Reip sister to your Elizabeth Jane Reip. I looked at the geneforum but didn't locate your info. I was wondering if you had any further info on Nicholas Reip or anything further on Johnann Peter Ollinger and/or Anna Barbara his wife mother to Barbra Ollinger? I don't know if you are still checking this message board, but I am also descended from Peter Reip/Barbara Olinger through their daughter Catherine born March 16, 1816. she married John Culp and their daughter, Barbara, married Heiskell Jones. I am also interested in learning more about the Reip and Olinger (Ohlinger) families!

My great-great-great grandfather was Henry Reip. He was born in Pennsylvania, but moved to Baltimore. I can trace him from his marriage to my grandfather, but would really like to know more about his ancestors. My grandfather always said that he was of German descent. Thank you!

Nice to hear from you. I am thru Elizabeth Reip who married George Sando. I have posted a lot on Peter Reip Barbara Olinger on genforum.com under surname Olinger. I only know that Peter Reip's father was Nicholas Reip of Pennsylvania. Do you have any more to add to Nicholas' generation. Go to http://www.rootsweb.com/~hcpd/norman/norman.htm and click on Don's Index. I got my genealogy on this couple there. Adam Reip who married Edith Amanda Chenoweth is one of my ancestors.

I have not verified the information in this listing and may not get around to it for some time yet as I am working on several other branches of my husband and my families - also trying to get ready to move and also spend time with grandchildren.

How do you fit into the family?
