Boys, 5 and 8, Under Arrest in Wilkes Barre
Wilkes Barre, PA, May 24, Theodore Risewick, aged 5, and Harold Andrews, age 8, were arrested on warrant and marched into police court today, each with a policeman as escort.
The warrant was sworn to by Mrs. Mary Hall and the charge was malicious mischief. The amount of damage they had done was fixed at eighty cents.
The prisoners told their story of shame with a smile. They admitted batting a ball through an eighty-cent window at the Hall home, while at play on the street.
Acting Mayor Ricketts became disgusted with the farce and discharged the prisoners after their parents had agreed to repair the damage.
