I am curious about my heritage, and was wondering if anyone knew anything about Dietrich (I don’t know if that is the proper spelling, but I have heard it pronounced dee-trick) and his wife Katharina Rempel. I know they had a whole bunch of children and the child I am descended from is Dietrich junior. And then down the line somewhere (I‘m not sure how far), there is my deceased grandfather Clarence Rempel and his brothers Edward and Ewald Rempel (they started Rempel Bros Concrete).

I’m not sure, but I think they were Germans living in Russia, or something like that.

Does anyone know what Rempel means? Is it a German or Russian word?

So if anyone knows any interesting information about them, I would love to hear it… For instance, where they are really from, places they immigrated to… Anything.
