I was able to locate a John P. Renner in Union co. in the 1820 census. On the same page there was a Frederick Renner. I am guessing they may be related in some way. I am seeking any information about these families. I believe John Renner may be my 5g grandfather.

A later census states that both John Renner and Julia Bowersox were born in PA. I have found no record of them in PA other than the census.
Does anyone have any information on any Renners in Buffalo, Union co. PA? They were farmers, so they may have stayed on the land somewhere in the area. I would appreciate any information.

The John Renner I am looking for married Julia Bowersox, and had four sons and two daughters. They settled in Steuben Co. IN in 1844. Their names were James W.; David H.; John P.; and Robert. The daughters were Roseanne and Margaret. Margaret and Roseanne married brothers, James M. Crain, and John M. Crain respectively.

According to the Indiana Census, James, David, Robert and Margaret were born in PA and John and Roseanne were born in IN.

This has been a hard family to locate, so any ideas are welcome. I have never done this kind of research in PA, so I may be missing something obvious.
