Dr. Alan C. Renton, 70, of Mt. Lebanon, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009. He was the cherished husband of Bonnie (Mancini) Renton; adoring father of Jay (Vickie) Renton, Ainsley Renton, Keira (Vegrin) Hightower and Colby (Mark) Fazio; grandfather of Alexandra, Nicholas, Athena, Lucy, Claire and Jack; brother of David (Hope) Renton and Janice Renton. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Medical School, chief resident at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn and practiced as a surgeon in Washington and Allegheny Counties for 32 years. He served in the Navy during Vietnam. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends welcome from 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at 2828 Washington Road, Peters Township, 724-941-3211. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Southminster Presbyterian Church. Interment is private.
