Hi Domenico. I'm unsure if you'll actually get this -- the original post is quite old.
My husband's great-grandfather was Giuseppe "Joe" Restivo. He immigrated to NYC in the early 1900s (born around 1888 I believe) from Palermo, Sicily. His granddaughter (my husband's mother) said he told her he came from "Villa del Gratzie" (pardon the spelling) but I've never found anything to confirm... The story was that his father worked in, or owned some olive groves, and the sons left Sicily to escape either the mafia -- or joining the army -- we're not sure which.
Joe married Mary Conti -- an Italian girl from The Bronx in New York. She had a twin brother, name unknown, and that's about all we know. I believe Joe had a brother named Dominic. Joe & Mary later lived in Youngstown, Ohio
