Fiquei feliz em receber a sua mensagem.Os Restivo de Ituverava pertencem ao ramo de minha família, porém os nomes não estão batendo.
Há alguns anos, busco informações sobre a família. Peço se possível para entrar em contato comigo para trocarmos algumas informações e se possível fechar as lacunas da árvore.

Olá a todos os Restivo! Também resido em São Paulo e meu avô se chamava José Restivo, o Bisavô Victório Restivo, mesmo nome de meu Pai. Nasci em Ituverava-SP e fui criado com minha irmã Denise. Meu pai teve mais 15 irmãos, todos falecidos. Possuo 50 anos e tenho uma prima, entre outros, também filha de um varão, Ivana, que mora em Londres. Abraços a todos. Vitório César

We were always the only Restivo family in St. Louis. My grandparents, Antonino & Magdelena (DiPrima) Restivo came here around 1906 from Alamena, Sicily. My dad, Peter, was the second youngest of 8 children - Vince, Frances, Anthony, Mary, Josephine, Teresa, Peter, Paul. They lost all contact with their families so I don't even know if my grandparents had siblings. They probably did, I just don't know who they are. If anyone knows, I would love to hear from you.

Restivo parece ser um nome que vem da Sicília (Itália). As irmãs da minha avó emigraram de Portugal para o Brasil em 1915. Será que tem as suas raízes em Portugal? Consultei o seu site e gostei.

Se vive em Gaia e sempre viveu na região é bem provável que sejamos parentes. A família Restivo (em Portugal) é mais precisamente da freguesia de Valbom, Gondomar. Irei enviar igualmente uma mensagem para o seu email.

My family is from the same area - Castro Filippe, which is between and just north of Agrigento & Licata. My Grandfather is from there 9came here in the 1900s) and he always said the same thing about all Restivos being related. He had a twin brother Eduardo and I think one named Salvatore; I think there were six siblings. You know how the same names get passed down from generation to generation. I heard that his father had many wives - one at a time. My grandmother was also named Restivo but I do not have any family information on her. Good luck cousin.

Hi Domenico. I'm unsure if you'll actually get this -- the original post is quite old.

My husband's great-grandfather was Giuseppe "Joe" Restivo. He immigrated to NYC in the early 1900s (born around 1888 I believe) from Palermo, Sicily. His granddaughter (my husband's mother) said he told her he came from "Villa del Gratzie" (pardon the spelling) but I've never found anything to confirm... The story was that his father worked in, or owned some olive groves, and the sons left Sicily to escape either the mafia -- or joining the army -- we're not sure which.
Joe married Mary Conti -- an Italian girl from The Bronx in New York. She had a twin brother, name unknown, and that's about all we know. I believe Joe had a brother named Dominic. Joe & Mary later lived in Youngstown, Ohio.

My fathers name is Tyrone.
But I was just told he was not my father..
I am not sure and confussed.. but in class i have to do a family tree and i dont know where to begin...

Vi por acaso esta sua mensagem, e não resisti a responder-lhe. Sou mais um Restivo, do Porto, e talvez mesmo um familiar seu...
Conheço também alguns Restivo por esse mundo fora.

Tenho procurado construir a minha árvore genealógica, mas sei muito pouco nos meus antepassados. Gostava de me encontrar consigo um dia destes, para vermos se temos algo em comum.

Hi,
I found this on goggle. Felix was my uncle. his brother was Carlo Restivo, my father. Felix was an accomplished accordionist. He also had two beauty parlors- as far as I know, he never was a barber but probably knew how to cut men's hair too.
He was married 4-5 times. Finally to an Evelyn ? and moved to Daytona Beach where he lived to be 95 years old.
I visited him there and he used to come up for family gatherings at my home in Jersey City and in Wayne, NJ.
He had three children- Felix Junior was killed in an auto accident in Florida, Glora had 5 or 6 boys- all living in Florida. Marie his oldest daughter never married and was living somewhere along the Hudson River upstate.
He and my father played for many important people at parties in their houses at upscale communities. He also (Felix) played at a Circus Restaurant in McGrory's Department store in NYC- now closed.
I hope this is of some help to you.
