1800's possibly 1966
two children Anna and Jacob George

My grandmother was Marie Reul. Her brother and father were both named John. They came over from Switzerland to Cincinanti around 1914. I think though John Reul Sr. originally came from Germany. Would this Reul book possibly contain some information about a link. Does anyone out there have any links?

My surname is Reul.I am now married and do not use my surname but use my husband's surname.My father was George Henry Reul,born in the USA.Mygrandfather,John Julius Reul was also born in USA but my great-granfather,George Reul was born in Germany in mid 1800's.I can provide name of town of his birth if it can be of help to anyone.

Hello! I hope this message isn't too old to respond to...

My mother, Sylvia Reuel (maiden name) was born in Lauterbach, Germany in 1952, and then moved to the USA. She has a brother, Walter or Walther, who has 2 kids. According to her, her family has lived there for quite a while. Any possibility there could be a match here?

There are books on the Reul's from Germany and elsewhere by Heibert Reul.They are in German.I am getting info on them soon.They are by Heibert Reul in Berlin Germany.If you

Reul.His father will send the book(s)? to me.
I believe they are in German.If you don't read German,which I do not,do you have someone that can translate,or at least find
what may be there about your ancestor?
I know someone that may still be around to

Emily,I have all four books now-$200.00
They are in German,I don't read German so I now found someone who does.
If you have names and dates I may be able to find it.The man who wrote the books,Heibert Reul is 89.I have not heard from him or his son,so I don't know if something happened.I
will try and contact him again.I dont have the e-mail address handy.Will try to get it to you.His son Winfried reads english.

George was born about 1832.He brought his family to USA about 1866.Daughter Anna.Elise/Elizabeth was a midwife.

Doris, thank you for the reply. I have had no luck with finding anything out about him or his wife. Im trying to contact some realitives still in Germany, but so far still no luck! I feel as if Im at a dead end but I'll keep at it and hopefully something will come up! Any info you might find would be wonderful. Thanks again!

My great grandfather, Heinrich Reuel was an MIA in World War II. So many records were distroyed the I don't think the Red Cross kept any at all. I only know that after escaping from a prison, he fell ill and his companions left him at a Red Cross. He is from Ulm Germany, maybe, but that is all I know of him. I would like to know if he left the Red Cross alive, or if he died there. I would also like to know about his mother and father, but my Grandmother was so little, and her mother never spoke about them. Is there any place I can find info? Please help!
