Hi all

I've recently discovered a REVEL connection, but know very little so far.

Thomas SHAKERLEY of Longstone, Derbyshire is said to have married Jane, the daughter of Hugh REVEL of Higham, Derbyshire, England. I have no accurate dates, but would estimate Jane to have been born somewhere around 1500.

Hunter's Familae Minorium Gentium has a pedigree for a REVEL family starting in Higham around 1400, and it includes two Hughs which are possibilities, but only their wives are shown, not their children.

There is also a will for a Hugh REVEL of Higham from 1503, but it apparently makes no mention of any children.

Has anybody got any knowledge of this family, or can point me towards any other sources?
