I am looking for information on this family, and specifically any records of a structure fire or other calamitous loss suffered by them (home or business) in the 1800's, probably in the Rochester area. Whatever this loss was, it was a substantial one, apparently resulting in at least one fatality. I need to establish a date for the fire (?), for further research into the incident. The journal of my relative, David Cooper, simply states that his wife's brother was the one who "died in the Rex property." I am assuming that this was a fire.
