Benjamin Rexford born 1739 married Esther Hall July 1, 1760 in Wallingford, New Haven Co. Connecticut. Nearly everybody gives her birthdate as April 24, 1729, daughter of Caleb & Esther Humphreville Hall. That makes Esther 10 years older than Benjamin. Some have her first married to Ichabod Lewis who lived until 1778. I found the info on her marriage to Ichabod Lewis in a book on New Haven Co. families, no mention of a 2nd marriage. Some trees on Ancestry have children born as late as 1782 to Benjamin & Esther. That would have her giving birth as age 53 which is almost medically unheard of, especially in those days. I suspect there were multiple Esther Halls, & they were mixed up. A marriage record on Ancestry states the Esther who married Benjamin Rexford was born in 1741. If that's correct who were her parents?
