I hope somewhere down the line we can find the right spelling on the surname from Germany, i would love to see a history book from the high school talking about the family in the castle. before my great great grandfather past before in 1947 he was told that all yhe male descendants of the Rhineberger line had died in Germany that he and his brothers or (brother) had inherited the castle. they heard it would cost more to go over there and claim it. then what it was worth, so they either did anything about it, or else they turned down the inheritance.
i been watching castle shows and looking up books on the casle but no luck so fare.

Lisa

Hi! My mother and I also do genealogy research and go back prior to the 1830s census with an ancestor Micheal Rhinebarger and his son Josiah and grandson, Henry. We know he's from Germany and when the "h" was dropped from our name.
How far back do your records go? Write me back!
Kathy

Do you know of a Michael Rhinebarger with a son Josiah? I first found Micheal on the 1830 Wayne Co., OH Census. However, his son Josiah's biography says Josiah was born in Dauphin Co., PA his parents were natives of PA Germany respectively. Family history says they were both from PA. I'm sure Micheal had a brother there named
Henry. Be really cool if you had some info!
thanks, kathy

I'm looking for information on the parents of my Great Great Grandmother. Her name was Lindsay Reinbarger or Lindzay Rinebarger or Linsay Reinbacker. (I've found it spelled each of these ways.) She was born June 5, 1865 in Louisville, Kentucky, and died there October 14, 1941. Her father was Henry, who was born in Germany.
Hi Joyce, I saw your message on the boards. I have a question. Is Horace also known as Elza(Elzra)? Was their mother Francanna Robinson? My grandmother was married to or lived with Glen J Rhineberger from about 1907 to 1916 or 1917. Her name was Myrtle Shukers Rhineberger. Do you have any information on this marriage? And the children they had together? Cindy

Hi Karen,
It's nice to hear from someone who is interested in the family tree. I'm Glen's first wife's Grand daughter. He was supposedly married to Myrtle Shuckers in 1908. I have not found any record of this as of yet. But, they were together none the less. From that marriage they had two children that died in a house fie in Bliss or Blissfield MI. Their names were Elza, born in 1908 and Frances born in 1910. They died in a house fire on December 19, 1913. I'm still trying to find some proof of this through newspapers or something, but I haven't yet. They then had Dollie in July of 1916. After that, they must have divorced, because on the 1920 census, Myrtle is then married to Stephen Smith living in Huntington, Lorain County OHIO.
Are you related to Eunice, Glen, or Clyde? What information have you found so far? I'd like to share with you. I have all of Dollie's children on a list if you'd like that. Let me know. I hope to hear back from you. Cindy
