Nella:
I have information about Andrew Blunk, a Revolutionary War Veteran, who lived in Harrison County, Indiana, near Elizabeth. We have a cemetery on our property where he and his wife and several young children are buried. There is also a Blunk Cemetery in Crawford County near Birdseye that has Amos and Malinda Blunk in it.
Jan Hecht

Charles Rhoda

My 2nd great-grandfathet, Charles Rhoda, was born in Prussia 1829/1830. He was married to a woman named Caroline and I have 6 children listed for them. Charles, Caroline, and the oldest daughter, Mina (probably short for Wilhelmina) emigrated to USA between 1853 and 1860. The family I have listed lived in Wisconsin. I also have that Charles was married a second time and have often wondered if his second wife was the mother of the 5 children born in Wisconsin. Any of this ring a bell?

Thanks!

Faith

Great to hear from another Rhoda relative!
The info I have is :
Joseph Rhoda b. in Germany
m. Hattie Luke, who also came to America in 1857.
They had Louis Rhoda who married "Fannie" Stahberg. They had the following children:
William John b ? d. Nov 8, 1927
Joseph Frederick b. 1890, d. 1961 m. Gertrude
Louis
Robert
Raymond
Annie
and Charles William Rhoda b. 8/31/1883, d. 1956
m. I would love to know what you find out when the certificate comes if you don't mind (robannem@cs.com). I have had such a hard time with the Rhoda side. Some of my info conflicts with Roland's but it has to be the same family. Some of the info I had came from my grandmother who is now deceased. Charles William Rhoda still has several children alive if I could ever speak with them and see if they remember anything. I'll let you know.
Thanks,
Robanne

Thanks for replying. Sarah was born in about 1799, and census records all say in NC. Same for brother Thomas born in about 1801. Sarah married James Driver on 25 Jan 1824 in Butler Co OH. She died in 1878 in IL while returning to IN from MN.

Thanks,
Marge

Louis Rhoda Sr. was my husband's gggrandfather. His son William was my husband's ggrandfather. William died at the age of 28 in 1893 after he jumped from a train in LaPorte In. He left a wife and three children who took the last name of their stepfather which was Gangwer. I know very little about this family and would love to learn more.

I’m looking for more info on a Raymond Rhoda who lived in Missouri at one time and then moved to Caddo County, Oklahoma. I’m researching Ethel Shuler b about 1886. In 1918, she married Raymond Rhoda. Any info that you can give me on this family will be appreciated. Ethel was first married to a Mr Stuckey, then Abraham Lincoln Peek and then Raymond Rhoda. I’m wondering if Ethel had any children with Raymond. Ethel was my brother in law’s grandmother and I haven’t been able to find out what happened to her after 1918. Thank you, Marge
So i have lots of old clippings-but mostly it's the Laughter side. I think the Rhoda side is going to be harder for me to trace.
He married Judith Rickes on 12 Oct 1946 in Madison, Indiana and died on 18 Mar 1995, in California. He was my husband's grandpa. He was not around when my mil was growing up. I have sent off for his death certificate in California, but from what I understand it will be a couple of months before I get it. I won't know who his parents are until I receive it. There was another poster on here Roland Rhoda, as Robert Rhoda is his grandfather. If you know how to get in touch with Roland I would like to get information.
Charles Rhoda was my g.g. grandfather. I have no further information about him; didn't even know he died in Oconomowac... where did you get that information, if you don't mind telling me? I would appreciate anything you can tell me. Thanks! Faith Snater
