JB (John Bert Riall) was my father. He was a great man and wonderful dad. His contributions to society cannot be measured as a simple government employee by definition.

Thank you for your simple recognition of him in this db. Gone but not forgotten!
I miss you mom and dad!

I think I own the car that your grandfather brought new in 1934 for the princely sum of £120. He was, I think a Sargent at the time and resident at the RA Gunnery school in Larkhill. The car was a MG PA Midget registration BGT 394 great fun for a 20 year old at that time.

We had a really cool kinship growing up. I always admired everyone west of the Mississippi.

I love and miss you all - Hope your brother is doing well - he's too kool and funny. I never forget his younger wacky years, and highly respect his later ones.

You guys are awesome.
Just to add some more fun, I have my Riall / Ryall family posted on my site: http://paulturner.ca/Phillips/Ryall/Ryall-Dossiers.htm

It is told that William Riall of Annerville [1769-1848) may have rermarried or had illigitmate children with an unknown and issued the lineage that is posted on my site.

I have the Riall of Ballyorney House lineage which starts with Phineas Riall of Clonmel. Also some information that deals with the line of Ryall of the Fosse House, North Curry, Taunton, Sommerset.

Ever here of the 'second' set of children?

....paul

there is so much wrong with this family tree I don't know where to begin but it is horribly out of date and wrong in its details, not helped by transcription errors!!

Claud Riall had s. Patrick and d. Rosemary: Patrick had one s. Tom and 3 daughters; Tom has one son and two daughters
Bertram Riall had two s. Charles and Tony, Tony had a d. Georgina, she had a son,. George
Malcolm Riall had s. Arthur, he married twice, 1st marriage produced one s. [Noel], second marriage produced 5 sons [I'm the eldest] and a daughter .....

Hi George,
I never actually got any further with this history ... I guess it depends on how much information you have other than what I have listed (ie: Major Anthony Claud Riall, RA, born 1914, educ Charterhouse & Woolwich, served in WW2 and was made Officer of Legion of Merit (USA) in 1944 and Croix de Guerre France 1944. He married Sylvia Lucy Robertson, dau of Col. Roger Archibald Reith of Jersey, settled at The Old Rectory, Chilton, Candover, Alresford, Hants, and had a daughter Georgina born 11 April 1942). You could try Charterhouse or the Royal Artillery records ...
Sorry not to be more help,
Turtle www.turtlebunbury.com
