Maria Rita RIBERA & Jose Antonio TORRES

For more than six years now I have been searching for a daughter born to Maria Rita Ribera throught another marriage, her husband is unknown to me. This daughter is Maria Juliana (Martinez) Ribera. She was baptised on 1 April 1842 in Taos, Taos County, New Mexico. Her mother is Maria Ana Martin(ez), also known to be of the Martin-Serrano Clan. Her mother was of the Arguello family.

Another search is the son Jose Dolores Torres (Martin(ez). I have an Ancestor Jose Dolores Ribera born 15 September 1841 to Fransisco Antonio Ribera and Marianita Martinez. This other son Jose Dolores Torres was born on 15 April 1850.

For a long while I have known the family come from the Torres Generations through Jose Antonio Torres. Our Jose Dolores Ribera was a Native American Indian of the Northern Tribe in New Mexico. I have alot of information, but wish to have closure on the Torres family line. Any data will be welcome.

I am willing to pay for all expenses in documentation of Birth, Death, Marriage, or Census Data.

Barbara Gonzalez

Hopefully someone can help me. I am searching for a link to my family. My father, has more information and names, and I will post those at a later date. My grandfather was born Juan Gavino Ribera in Las Vegas NM in 1899. His family had a ranch near Cuevo NM. His family had been freighters in the 1800 prior to getting the ranch. He enlisted in the army in 1917 in Farwell, TX and went to France to fight in WWI. It was during the enlistment that the spelling of his name was changed. If you have any information that might help me, please contact me. I need to contact my father, since he has the specific names. I can be reached at jdanielrivera@hotmail.com
Thanks, Daniel

My Cousin Lovia Rivera & my sister Doreen Archibeque say he is the First Generation Ribera.

So far I have found nothing to prove that. I will go along with
my cousin Aimee Sandoval and place Francisco Ribera as
the First Generation Ribera until we can prove different. The
1860 Census prove the birth of Jose Dolores Ribera.

I have found a Ramon Ribera with a son Jose,
I am still searching. I am at a brick wall, so if
you can help I would appreciate it very much.

Barbara Gonzalez from Tucson, Arizona

I have also found another Jose Dolores Rivera with family members that do match ours. So if you need this information just E-mail me.
