Jean Francois Allain, the son of Jean Francois Allain and Marie Augustine Haussy, was born at Pointe Coupee on April 10, 1739 and baptized April 13th at St. Francis chapel. He died in 1808. He married Marie Francoise Richard (Ricard), the daughter of Pierre Richard and Marie Louise Des Noyers. The had the following children: Pierre Francois (son), Marie Francoise (daughter), Marie Augustine (daughter), Charlotte Celeste (daughter), Hedwige (daughter), Zenon (son) and Hyacinthe (daughter).
