Hi Diana,
My grandfather did not have a sister named Nancy, and only had one brother. My grandfather lived in New Rochelle and died there. Could we cousins?? Who knows?

this sounds like he could have been my dad. I remember the clomba name and the name immacolatina. a mary and silverio adopted me they were my aunt and uncle from the coppa side. I need info on my dad , and trying to find his dgt diane and his niece Barbara. they lived upstate ny. please write me. thanks

I believe he was my dad. did he have a sis nancy an dmany brothers. if so he died many years ago. my dad lived in far rockaway, harlem the Bronx Holland ave and 149th st, and then nh franklin, and they moved upstate ny near his sister. could we be related? please respond diana

I had a dad named Michael riccardi he lived in Brooklyn, harlem, far rockaway and upstate ny and the Bronx. he worked in construction. his family came from Italy. they told me he was Sicilian. he was my natural dad and I was adopted by a aunt. if it is him he died many years ago. he had a sis named nancy and many brothers.

I have a half brother named john riccardi, and his dad was Michael riccardi and he had a sis named diane and other brothers mike, freddy, diane and another one that died. a john riccardi passed on . he lived in ny, and Michael had toldl me he passed on. don't know if that was your dad. can you give me any more info about the family? diana

hi janet. wow this is a surprise. my dad Michael riccardi died and so did his sister nancy. nancy had a dgt named Barbara. I never met any of them except my dad as when my mom lena coppa/riccardi from the Bronx ny died when I was a baby a aunt adopted me and moved to south jersey. her name was maria coppa and married a silverio conte/conti. he was from ponza Italy. are we related? I been wanting to find my hald sister and brothers and Barbara with no results. I know they lived upstate ny, . nancy lived in Garnerville ny, and Michael lived in harlem/far rockaway/new hamphire , and upstate ny. I have a picture on here of Michael. on one of my posts. the amalfi coast is so beautiful. I went to Italy for 2 months when I was 19.i find my dad Michael riccardi in the Bronx and we met. who was michaels folks? what is their names? oh wow. sounds like this is my dad, as he was living upstate ny with his sister that married a manzi, she had a dgt named Barbara. my dad died many yeara ago and so did his sister. what part of Italy did he and his folks come from. I was adopted when my mom lena coppa/riccardi died when I was a baby. a aunt adopted me. mike remarried and had another dgt and 3-4 sons, and I cant find them. diana

Married to Maddelena Iuliucci, children Antoinette, Gabriel, Immaculata, Domenico*, Maria Pasqua*, Antonio* (*=immigrated to Boston area, MA, USA). Gioacchino's parents were Antonio Ricciardi and Antonia Siviglia.

I had a dad named Michael riccardi from Italy, that came to America. to the Bronx. he married my mom lena coppa from the Bronx, she died and he remarried, and had a girl and 4-5 boys. I believe his wife was named anna. if this is him he died many years ago, he also had a son named mike, freddy, john, and girl diane.

I lost contact with the board. my dad mike riccardi lived in harlem I believe then far rockaway then upstate ny e Garnerville, near his sister nancy manzi. I believe aunt nanzy had a brother named ray . mike had children freddy, diane, john, mike. and aunt nancy had a dgt named Barbara. my died has died and so has aunt nancy. aunt nancy had red color hair, and so did Barbara. I am trying to find Barbara, and my half sis and brothers. my dad mike was married before to a lena coppa, from 149th st Bronx, and she died a year after having me and he remarried. I was a only chld from lena and mike. I was adopted by a mary and silverio conti, as its a long story as they took me from the Bronx and went to jersey, when I was a baby. my name is Diana. I been trying for years to find Barbara and half sister and brothers . I don't want anything from them except to know them. I was told I am half Sicilian. maybe mikes parensts were from sicily. I believe Leonardo died at a young age and left three sons and a daughter. The three sons were Jimmy, John, and Shep. The daughters name was Frances. They all lived in East Harlem on E115th St. Olga was a daughter of Salvatore and Carlotta Riccardi who also was from the area (E118th st.) They were all from the same town as my family...Terranova di Pollino, in Basilicata Italy. Shep also owned a candy store on the corner of Pleasant Avenue and E115th called "Sheps Candy Store".....Hope that helps....All the people you mentioned were very good friends of my Grandfather who lived there and I belive Carlotta is a cousin. Wow! What a surprise to see your email. My original post was from nine years ago. Thank you so much for responding. Our family knows very little about our grandfather Michael Riccardi. We know that he came from Matera Italy, and that he lived in New Rochelle. He did not speak about his family in Italy, why he came to the US, or any other family history. My grandfather died October 5 1973. I would love to know more about his siblings, his parents, etc. Has anyone else in the family immigrated to the US? Six years years ago my husband and I went to the Amalfi coast and from there drove to Matera for a day. It would have been nice to perhaps seen where my grandfather lived or even if we still have any relatives living there.

Michael Riccardi was the brother of my mother Colomba Riccardi (born 1902) whom, along with Nicola, Antonio and Immacolatina, were all children of Dr Giuseppe Riccardi and nonna Marianna living in Matera Via Torraca.
I know that uncle Michael immigrated to US and established himself in New Rochelle. Between 1966 and 1972 I lived in Montreal for work and tried to phone him because I wanted to pay him a visit.My mother was still alive. I never was able to get in touch with him. My grandfather was a Cinicolo from Bartolomeo In Galdo. His name was Giovanni Antonio. I am having a hard time finding information on his family. My only surviving Aunt, in the US says his parents were Giovanni and Maria Guiseppa. Any of this sound familiar from your research? My grandfather ended up living in Boston and then in Miami, Florida.

I am in search of My Riccardi side of the family. I know that they immagrated here from Turin Italy and Bianze Italy. Joseph Riccardi born abt 1884 and Josephine born abt 1884 also. I know that he had a brother that satyed in Italy and has cousins still in Pa. State. They came here in abt 1901 to Monogahela Valley, Pa. Not familiar with where that is at. Would appreciate if someone could also help me on figuring out what that is called now. Childrens names were: Marino, Lawerance, John, and Katherine/Margaret. They then came to settle in Indiana. I agree! Only by chance, through marriage, is there another Riccardi in my family that has no connection to me. A person by the name of John Riccardi that now lives in Staten Island(SP?)is part of that family. You might try looking him up to see if you can connect to him. I dont recognise the names you mentioned, but I am glad we met!

Those names do not ring a bell. I do find it interesting that the two addresses are only a few blocks apart.
My grandfather's name was Vinchenzo, also went by the name James. My Grandmother's name was Cleonice, and her maiden name was Galasso.
