Ricciardelli's , Lieto's or Vitale's from Pratola Serra , Avellino, Italy

My great grandparents Carmella Lieto 1881- 1962 Married Francisco Antonio Vitale. Her parents were Maria Emanuela Ricciardelli, and Pietro Lieto. His Philip Vitale married to Grazia Depalmo. Philip's parents were Francesco Antonio Vitale abt 1803 and Antonetta Frabrizzio all from Pratola Serra. A DNA Test matched me to Patty Vitale's line in Mass. Any info is Welcomed.

My great grandmother was Filomena Ricciardelli born 1897 in Avellino Italy. Married Constantino Caso and moved to NJ. I have no other info on her, and any would help.

He was my great uncle. My grandfather, his brother was Albert Joseph Ricciardelli. He passed away in 1969. My mother is Donna Marie Ricciardelli Reim. She has 3 brothers, Michael Nicholas Ricciardelli, Gary Hassel Ricciardelli (deceased), and Albert Joseph Ricciardelli, Jr. Hope this helps. This is all I really know about him. But if you contact my mom or her brothers, you will be able to get more information.

I am from the Ricciardelli family that was in Pittsburg Pa and moved to Miami Florida. We had a good family friend, not related, Rudy Ricciardelli from NJ. He use to come visit us in Miami when I was a child (50's 60's). I believe his family was in the resturant supply business. He had a friend that owned a large Cris Craft Boat Dealership. I would think Rudy would have been born between 1915 and 1920, that is just a guess as I assume he was a little older than my parents. My father was John Louis, his father was Guisspie Ricciardelli from Campobasso, Italy

Looking for family of WWII submariner, Michael Nicholas Ricciardelli. He was lost in WWII on the submarine, USS Flier (SS-250) He gave his next of kin, his wife: Mrs. Ruth Legge Ricciardelli, 601 Naylors Run Rd., Llanerch, Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. Possibly his wife's maiden name was Legge?
Any assistance or knowledge of this family would be appreciated. Thank you.

There seem to be many Ricciardelli's in and around Naples, Avellino, Caserta etc. My great aunt lived in Caserta. Perhaps they all came down from the North!

Yes, I'm living in a town very close to Naples (its name is Caserta), but I have no relatives in this area for sure, just the same surname!
My family came from the North of Italy here in the beginning of 1800, so we have a lot of relatives in The North but none in the south!

Franci, So nice of you to write. Are you perhaps from nearby Naples? thanks for the suggestion.

I was told by my grandmother, that my grandfather's father was once the mayor of Avellino. A look through the records when i visited the town revealed that this was not the case, but it was suggested that he may have been the head of a "province" - do you know how that might work? eg. is there a province with the name of Avellino?

Anyone related to Michael Nicholas Ricciardelli born in Riccia, Italy 1895; spouse Ida (Salvi) Ricciardelli born in Segni, Italy 1900. Nicholas died in Atlantic City, NJ in 1925, he had three sons, Nicholas, Albert & Rudolph. His father's name was Salvatore and his mother's name was Carmela (Giuliano) Ricciardelli.

Yes, he did die in WW11. Recently made contact with another long lost cousin who has more info on Ralph.

Elizabeth, just found this info on Ellis Island site.
Antonio Ricciardelli age 19 arrived on the ship SS Sicilia in NYC from Naples on March 11, 1903
His residence Aillo So. Aiello de Sabato is in Avellino just 15 miles south of S. Paolino (where we thought he was from)
also
Carolena Stanziale age 20 arrived on the ship USS Prinz Oscar from Naples on March 16, 1905 on her way to Atlantic Highlands.....hmmmm to marry Antonio, I imagine.
of course the search still goes on to find
the marriage records, etc.
Agnes was born in 1908, so the dates are all filling in.
Do you have any more info to share????

Lou hasn't replied to a message posted 2 years ago on the Sanna board. As I understand it, Lou is the son of Thomas Sanna and Theresa Marie Ricciardelli. Theresa married two Sanna brothers, Lou's uncle was also named Lou. Theresa, I believe, was a sibling of your Grandfather.

My in-law, Nicholas Giordano was wondering what became of his Uncle Charlie, who I assume is your grandfather. He was, as I understand it, a quite skilled heart surgeon?

Just found that Joseph and Josephine Rich are in fact (Ricciardelli), they are buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Monmouth County N.J. Their children are ( ?uissie or sussie), Sebastiano, Mary, William, Ida, George, (America??), (Jerry), Helen, from the 1920 Census, Middletown Twnshp, Monmouth County, N.J.
Are these names familiar to you???

My great grandfather, Gaetano Ricciardelli, was also from Avellino. His mother's name was Josephine. He had two sisters: Vincenza and Clara. Hear of any of them in your search?

Hi. My name is Mark Ricciardelli I live in southern california. My fathers name is Ralph Robert Ricciardelli Jr.(born in NJ)I know that his father died before he was born. I was told by my grandmother that he died in WWII.I do not know anything before that.My grandmother(Katherine Parker)is in the hospital.She recently had a bad stroke and it's hard to get info on my grandfather.

Antonio Ricciardelli is my 5th generation Grandfather, He married Rosa Rousse. They are the parents of Pedro Richardel who married Catherine Vinet and is the father of
Marie Richardel (my grandmother). Marie Richardel married Alexandre Urbain Plaisance Sr. (my Grandfather). His daughter, Lena Rose Plaisance (my mother) married Johnny Gautreaux Sr.
Catherine Vinet's parents were Francois Vinet and Marie Alvares. Francois Vinet's parents were Pierre Vinet and Jeanne Manet. Marie Alvares' parents were Baltazar Alvares(Albares) and Isabel Francisea Hernandez.

Hi Elizabeth, and I am correcting Dane's info. He got the wrong father for Lou. Lou's father was Lou also and his mom was Teresa [Tess}.
Teresa's brother Angelo [Charlie]married Valentina .Your father Charles Anthony is a doctor [correct?], figure out the relationship. Very close.

I read a reply from a woman named Dane regarding your/my family - she listed the children of Carolina and Antonio - if you are one of the sons of the siblings listed then I am your cousin. My grandfather is Angelo Charles Ricciardelli (my dad is Charles Anthony Ricciardelli) and my grandmother was Valentina Digiuseppe my Great uncle Tony and aunt Crotia are also listed. My family is also from Avellino - my father visited years ago and brought perhaps an entire case of wine back from the region 'Fiano de Avellino' if you haven't tried it - quite decent. My grandfather - Angelo - was born here and lived most of his life in Atlantic Highlands, NJ before marrying my grandmother Valentina DiGiuseppe and moving to Trenton, New Jersey. My great grandfather emmigrated....ok snuck - into the US....around 1900 from Avellino as well. My grandfather was Luigi Ricciardelli and was born in Avellino in about 1900 and emigrated to New York and also lived in Atlantic City for a while. He had brothers named Arturo (ARthur) and Lorenzo (Lawrence) and a sister named Ninetta, among other brothers and sisters. We went to Avellino several summers ago and dug up more info about the family which I would be happy to share!

My grandfather - Anthony - had 8 siblings and was born in Atlantic Highlands. He married Valentina DiGiuseppe - and settled in Trenton.

Antonio Ricciardelli and Rosa Rousse's son Pietro Riciardelli married Catheriene Vinient( Daughter of Frank Vinient and Marie Albarez) This was my grandfather's parents. My Grandfather was Claude Richardell, my father is Clyde P Richardel, Sr. and I am Clyde P Richardel,Jr.

My mother's name was Teresa Marie Riccardelli. Her parents names were Antonio and Carolina Ricciardelli. She had 8 siblings all born in Trenton, NJ. I am looking for any relatives and also does any one know Carolina"s maiden name. They met her in NY at a bus stop. She was from Avellino, near Naples and he was from another closeby town. Also, does anyone have dates of entry and marriage dates for them. Please e-mail any info.
