1. 1900 census has Charles Rice b. Dec 1859 in PA of parents b PA. In 1880 he was single, age 20 living in Luzerne Coo, Plains TWP, PA, a druggist.
2. About 1888 he was probably in St Paul, Ramsey Co MN where he married Grace Vance. Grace was the dau. of Joseph Vance & Harriet Walton Hall. The Hall family was active in MN newspaper business.
3. In Nov 1899 The St Paul (MN) Daily Globe reported the death in Brooklyn, Kings Co NY of Lyman Wells Rice, aged 7 years. The son of Mr and Mrs Charles Rice late of St Paul. MN.
4. 1900 census has Charles W Rice & wife Grace boarding in Brooklyn, King Co NY. He is a druggist. No children enumerated.
5. 1910 census has Charles W Rice & wife Grace lodging with others in Rutherford, Bergen Co, NJ. No children enumerated, although Grace is enumerated as having 2 children, both living. Occupation was commercial traveler, perfumery.
6. On line LDS family group record of Charles Wells Rice with no sources given has with him, wife Grace Vance, son Lyman Wells Rice b abt 1883 in St Paul, son Edwin Clifford Rice b abt 1885, Dunmore, Lackawanna Co PA & dau. Louise Mary Rice b abt 1887 in Dunmore PA.
7. I have not been able to locate Edwin or Louise in any census, nor find Edwin in the WW 1 draft registration. Likewise unable to trace Charles & Grace after 1910 census.
