Does anyone know who this Rice family is? William Rice died in Rockingham Co Va in 1821. His children were James B, Rebecca, Rachel, nancy, Mary, William, Dephy (married John Basdel), and Tempy who married Thomas Moore in 1813 but she had died before 1821 and her children are listed in William's will. All of William's children appear to have lived in Halifax County, so he must have lived there too at one point.

Thomas Moore married Tempy Rice in Rockingham County, NC on Feb 11 1813. Tempy and Thomas had 3 children, James Moore and Temperance Moore who married Banister Spencer back in Halifax County. It appears that Tempy had a son Azariah Rice before she married Thomas Moore.

Any help with identifying who this William Rice was (or who Thomas Moore was) is greatly appreciated.
