I just posted a query about my half great uncle, James C. Richardson/Richison. James Walker Richison was his son. Would be glad to exchange more information with you. James C. Richardson was born to John Newton Richardson and wife Deborah Denton. They also had a daughter Margaret "Maggie." The family story told was that Newton went to prison possibly for horse stealing and Deborah left him. Whether this is true or if she obtained a divorce, I do not know. However, in 1861 she had returned from Overton Co., TN to Washington Co., VA and married Fleming Mays. They had four children, one of whom was my grandmother, Mary Virginia "Molly" Mays
