I am a direct descended of Roaldus Musard De Richmond who was one of the most powerful leaders who accompanied William the Conqueror into England.
My records date back to 1040 and reads as such:
Roaldus Musard De Richmond
Hasculfus Musard De Richmond
Roaldus De Richmond "LE ENNASE
Sir Alan Fil Roald De Richmond
Sir Roald, Fil Alan De Richmond, Knight=1st wife
Sir, Fil Roald Richmond De Croft
Sir Roald, Fil Alan Richmond Croft
Eudo De Richmond
Elyas De Richmond
Thomas De Richmond
William De Richmond

Francis Thackeray, uncle of William Makepeace Thackeray, who descended from the Richmonds of Wilshire, compiled the records of the ancestors of the Ashton-Keynes Richmonds. These records correspond with my line with one exception: he claims that my line descend through Roald, the son of Roaldus "le Ennase" while General Plantagenet-Harrison, in his History of Yorkshire," states that my line is descend from Alan, son of Roaldus "le Ennase," claiming that his -son Roald had no children.
And yes, the names are Norman.
I have information regarding my line as I said dating back to 1040 Pre-American Richmonds. If anyone is interest I would be glad to help find anyone in the Richmond family looking for answers.
