Riddles from Scotland

The first ancestor I can trace in America is William Riddle who was born in 1760 and died in 1840. He was naturalized, a Presbyterian, and I'm assuming he came from Scotland. I've always been told that the Riddles were Scotch-Irish. He may be part of the Thomas Riddle family. Can you give me any information that might be useful? His naturalization papers stated only that he had been in the U.S. since "at least 1790." He lived and died in Kortright, Delaware County, New York, southwest of Albany. Thanks!
