Has anyone been able to pinpoint where the Ridenbaugh family came from? What part of Europe did they live in? When did the first Ridenbaughs come to the US? It seems as if the Ridenbaugh (sp) came to the US and can be found living in New York, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, and Missouri in the early 1700's and 1800's. However, there is no record that I have found that can trace them back to another country. Please note that I am spelling this name "Ridenbaugh" because I know that there are a lot of variations of this name.
