Mark, a while ago you posted a a message about
William Rine (b 1795) and Nancy Rine. (b Abt 1800) You thought William Rine was the son of Casper Rine, but had no proof

I have searched, the message boards, but cannot find your post so am using this space for ithe following nformation about William and Nancy Rine.

Child of Rudolph Rine and Barbara Conner is:

Nancy Rine, born Abt. 1800 in MD; died March 30, 1885; married William Rine; born 1795 in MD; died Bef. 1860 in Coshocton Co. OH.

Notes for Nancy Rine:
In DeLauder's Underwood and Rine Family, c 1986, in the original manuscript at Knox Co. Library, her husband William was typed as Rudolph and Barbara's son, but someone hadwrote that Nancy was actually their child, not William, "Son of Casper" was added to William's record.

More About Nancy Rine:
Burial: New Guilford Cem, Perry Twp, Coshocton Co. Ohio.

Notes for William Rine:
Also in 1850 household: Malinda 16, Margaret 4, Henry 3, Casper 1.

More about William Rine:
Burial: New Guilford Cem, Perry Twp, Coshocton Co. Ohio.

I hope this information is helpful.
Mary

Hello, My name is Samantha Ryan, and I am the great granddaughter of your great-grandmother's brother, Vincent Johnson Ryan. I, as well as Fin, am working on a bunch of genealogy stuff, so maybe we could share information. Also, there is a RINE/RYAN family reunion in about two or three weeks...Sun. July 30th. It is somewhere in W.Virginia, but I don't have all the information yet. Fin has probabily told you already though, since he is the main genealogy go-to guy of the family.

Hi Hilta

My great grandfather Nathan Rine served in the Civil War with the 126th Ohio Volenteer Infantry. I have his war records and the name is spelled Ryan, Ryane, Rine in those records. My g grandfather signed all three ways. My Dad always said the "h" was dropped from the name. I have birth records spelled both ways on my aunts and uncles.

My Dad's family migrated from Pa in 1820 to Ohio. I know there are lots of Rine families in N.C and Va. I just have not made the connection. There seems to be lots of Jacob Rine's as the name was repeated in families.

I wish I had access to German sites and could speak/read German

Rita

He is noted as a lot owner and resident in Bedford County from 1771 to the end of the Revolutionary War. This might be a person related to your Jacob Rine, and also might have a connection into my Rine/Rhine line. Shall we discuss this further?
Carol

I have not seen any Jacob Rine in the Pennsylvania Archives references for the Rev. War. If he was born in 1765 he would have been too young, likely. Perhaps his father could have fought in the war. I know that's who you are trying to establish.

I am sorry I did not answer you but this June 2005 and I just received this message.

I took Elizabeth Whiteman out of my genealogy as her birthdate was not right to be my great grandfathers mother . Jacob Rine was born in1796 she was not born as of yet. She could have been a step mother. I only have the first name of Elizabeth for his mother. There are lots of Jacob Rine's listed in ancestry . Mine came from Pennsylvania to Ohio.
What information I found was she lived with a daughter Sarah in Troy Indiana and is buried there. She suposedly married a Guiesbert spelling may not be correct. from Ohio .

Sorry i did not get this until after I erased my information.

Rita Rine Standage

HI,
I am a descendant of this Michael Rine and am 1 in a group of descendants of his that are always looking for info on him also. I know that he was from Germany but didnt know that he was born there. What info do you have that he was born there? We have looked in Wellsburg extensively and cant find any information on him or any of his family. I live about 30 min. from Wellsburg and my cousin from Tenn. has come up several times to look for info on him too but to no avail. We are kind of at a dead end. Do you have any other Rine info that you could share. Maybe we can compare notes. I Look forward to hearing from you.
Cindy Rine Wade
Ababywuv@stratuswave.net

I am looking for descendents of Charles and Elizabeth (Kehoe, Keough) Rine. In 1880, they were living with Elizabeth's parents and family. At the time the census was taken, the Rine's had a daughter Sarah, who was 6 months old. I believe they had at least one additional daughter, Katie, who died at age 2yrs, on 22 Sept 1887. She is listed in the Marshall County deaths 1853-1903. Any help or clues would be greatly appreciated.

Rine Reunion

There will be a Rine Reunion on 8/21 in shelter # 4 at Grand Vue Park in Moundsville, WV. This is the first reunion since the 1980's. Please bring any and all family history and old pictures that you have so that the information can be shared. There will also be available Rine geneaolgy information thst may help fill in some of your blanks.

Registration is from 9:00 to10:00 am, getting aquainted and family history sharing followed by lunch at 12:30. There will be a short meeting after lunch to plan the 2005 reunion and to discuss a DNA project. The purpose of the DNA project is to determine if there is a connection between the Rine line from Maryland and the Lazarus Rine line. If there is, this may further assist in determing the birth place of Lazarus.

At mid-afternoon, those that wish, can take a short trip to Rines Ridge to appreciate the view that Lazarus Rine had when he lived there in the late 1700's as well as visit the cemeteries where many of the Rines and allied families are buried.

Please bring lunch, beverages and chairs for your family.

This should be a fun and informative get together. Plus an opportunity to meet some new cousins.

For additional information please respond to this post or by direct E-mail to wrine@cox.net.

We now have the West Carlisle Cemetery photographed and online as well as Goshen and Winding Fork - there are several Rines, at "http://members.tripod.com/~k.noe/coshocton.html" - we have also started developing a committee to host The West Carlisle Homecoming, Memorial Day Weekend, 2003. We will have a Meet and Greet on Saturday including a role call of families. Everyone is encouraged to being their genealogy stuff. We will also scan photographs and put them on a disk so we each leave with a copy. Sunday will be the Annual Memorial Day Celebration, coordinateed by the WC Community Church followed by a hog roast. Monday we will pick a lot and clean it up - then each plant a "family" tree in remeberence of our forefathers. Should be an exciting weekend. Details will be posted online at the above website when they are finalized. Happy hunting!

I have the civil war records of his son Rudolph Rine born in Miatinsburg, Ohio in 1848. These records show Hinkle as Rudolph's father and Elizabeth Bentz as Rudolph's mother. Does anyone have information showing Hinkles parents and other helpful information? I am from the New Alexandria Ohio village mentioned in one of the posted messages.
