Hello all,
I have unofficially tried to find any info back to the
Circus. I have spoken with two people related to a Ringling
family in the Dakotas/MidWest, but the founder of that line
can be traced to Austria, and his entire US family is documented.
August Ringling, the Bros. Father came from Germany and changed
the spelling of the name to Ringling. I believe only one
of the brothers had children, but I am unsure of which one.
I did speak to the last clown of the circus, and he could
remember children of the brothers, but not who had them.
Unfortunatly, he has passed away. My father's father was
named Otto, was born and died in Pennsylvannia. I am
tring to trace his liniage, but PA is hard to deal
with. Good luck to everyone searching, and feel free
