I am completing a book about the receivership of Abitibi Power and Paper Ltd, the longest and most controversial bankruptcy in Canadian history. Joseph Pierce Ripley (1889-1974) was one of the most prominent of American financiers: a vice-president of National City during the 1920s and later head of Harriman-Ripley (which became Drexel, Burnham and Lambert following his retirement). Ripley headed the bondholders' protective committee during the Abitibi receivership. I am trying to locate any photgraphs or memorabilia, which will help me add more of the person to the narrative. Any help in locating his surviving relations would be appreciated.
