PHOTO: Grandma RISLEY taken in Poplar Bluff, MO 1920-1930
I have a formal photo identified as Grandma Risley. After some search in the census and Death Index, I believe this may be either Florence, the wife of George W. Risley, a farmer, or his daughter Virginia, born about 1915 in Poplar Bluff, MO. I find the family there in 1910 and 1920 Census.
The woman is about 20-30 years of age and is wearing a plain black dress with a darker strand of beads. She has her hair marcelled in finger waves (popular in late 20's and early 30's).
Florence was the mother of Elbert, Paul, Virginia and Lee Roy. Virginia was daughter of Florence and George.
I am not related, but I would like to connect this photo with a family member or family researcher.
