Dear Shelby - A y-DNA project has been started for the surnames Risner/Risener/Reisner. One of the objectives of the project is to confirm that the "northern" and "southern" Risners are related back to a common ancestor.
As Juli Morgon mentioned in previous e-mails, the test can only be done on male members who still carry the surname. Are there any males of the above surname in your family that might be interested in participating in a y-DNA project? If so, please get back in touch with me for more details.
