Hilda M. Ristow
Hilda M. Ristow, 88, Wisconsin Rapids, mother of a Stevens Point woman, died Friday, March 12, 2004, at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. Matthew Doebler officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.
Visitation will be at the church from noon Monday until the services.
Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ristow was born Feb. 4, 1916, in Wisconsin Rapids, a daughter of the late Anton and Martha (Olson) Stensberg.
She was married to Herman A. Ristow on Nov. 28, 1936, in Wisconsin Rapids. He died Oct. 6, 1997.
She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Jane (James) Leahy, Stevens Point; four sons, Herman III "Bud" (Janis), Wisconsin Rapids, Karl (Jean), Naples, Fla., Bruce (Sue), Soldiers Grove, and Marv, Mauston; two sisters, Margaret Ilk, Arpin, and Louise Cepress, Wisconsin Rapids; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Thomas; four brothers, Olaf, Edward, Pete and Martin; and two sisters, Inga Lutz and Nellie Ebacher.
