Surnames: Rutter, Ritter
John Ritter (1783- 23 Sept 1873) married Mary Stinson/Stensman (1789 - 1837). He was born and raised in Southwark, Philadelphia; worked as a ropemaker.
His kids were:

2 William H Ritter (1823 - 1868 m. Annie (1839 - 1890)
3 Mathias Ritter (1825 - 1895)m. Mary Ann Vance (1826 - 1880)
***Mathias and family moved to Camden, NJ
4 Susanna Ritter (1825 - 1886) m. Barry
5 Joseph Ritter (1826 - after 1880)m. Emma (1830 - after 1880)
6 Bishop Ritter (1828 - after 1880) m. Thersea V (1829 - 1851)
7 Ruth Ann (Ann) Ritter (1833 - 1906) m. George Cromley/Crumley (1832 - ?)

George W M Ritter (3 Mar 1833 - 26 Now 1910) m. Emma Matilda 9 Sep 1835 - 24 Jan 1915). Resided at 1741 S. Water/Oswego Street in South Philadelphia, PA; worked as a pipe fitter. His family took the last name Rutter and other Ritter/Rutter family resided in the same neighborhood, even the same street.
His kids were:

2 Elizabeth Rutter (1853 - after 1910) m. James Harvey (1854 - ?)
3 Mary M Rutter (1856 - 1938) m Stein and later, m. Thomas Weikel (1855 - 1942)

George W Rutter (#6 continued) was born in June 1863 - and he died on 1 May 1920. Born and raised in South Philadelphia, he worked as a driver and later in life as a foreman for the Vare Brothers. His many sons were employed as drivers and contractors for the company as well. Also, it appears all of his sons were not interested in being drafted in WW1, they gave false information, His addresses in Philadelphia were 616 Cantrell St and later in life, 2125 South Hancock Street. In 1883, he married Abagail J. (Feb 1864 - 22 Mar 1916), who went by either Abbie or Addie, but maiden name unknown.

9 Jennie Rutter (1902 - ?) lasted census that mentions her is 1920, she probably got married.

12 Charlotte Rutter (1908 - Aug 1974) - William McCloskey (1907 - ?)
13 Philip Chris Rutter (30 May 1911 - 22 Jun 1978)

John R Rutter (#1 continued) was born 27 May 1884 and he lived until sometime after 1942. He worked as a contractor for the Vare Brothers and a driver for Philadelphia's Department of Public Works. He married Lavina Irene Dick (14 Mar 1896 - 10 Jul 1970) and had 3 children:
1 John Joseph Rutter Jr (continued below)
2 George P Rutter (1919 - 1997)
3 Viola Rutter (died young)
By 1930, John and Lavina divorced. He lived with Lavina's sister, Sadie Jordan (Dick) and her family at 140 Daly Street at least until 1942. On his 1942 WW2 draft registration, someone else had to fill it out for him, he signed with an X. Lavina remarried William Sargent (1894 - 1947) and they moved to Westville Grove, NJ with her Rutter children and a son from a previous relationship, Henry Brent (1914 - 2000). After William Sargent's death, Lavina moved in with her son, George, and once she passed, George moved in with his brother, Henry in Bellmawr Park, NJ.
