Ilene Rittman, 88, of Terre Haute, died late Thursday night, Dec. 15, 2005, at Meadows Manor North. She worked as a waitress and a homemaker. She was born March 4, 1917, in Richfield, Utah, to George F. Emett and Mary Cottom Emett. She married Robert L. Rittman, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two children, Ruth Allen and husband Michael of Arizona, and Bob Rittman and wife Judy of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Ruth Ann Babcock and husband Steven, Jennifer Totaro and husband Mike, all of California, Angela Johnson and husband Steve, and Anthony Rittman and wife Tohnna, all of Terre Haute; great-grandchildren, Travis Allen, Callie Totaro and Emma Totaro, all of California, and Steven Johnson Jr. of Terre Haute; sisters, Ruth Cobain and Myrtle Martin, both of Nevada, Rose Ayres of Washington, and Emma Jane Nielson of Utah; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Frank and Dean Emett; and one sister, Ellen Lambert.
She was a member Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to play bingo, do crafts, sew and cook.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Tuesday in Roselawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 11 a.m. until services Tuesday.
