Between us, we can probably sort this out then. Known children as taken from my g-grandfather's obituary includes the following: Irene Clare, Pearl, Katherine, Gloria, Maude, McKinley, Albert Edmond (aka Elmo), Wallace Sr., Junius J., Lindon Paul. Where do our lists differ?

Henry's son Lindon married Annette Hebert, daughter of Enos Hebert & Leah David. The couple had 6 known children: Russell, Elizabeth, Pat, Jean, Lindon & Roy. Russell & Lindon married daughters of Noah Laurent & Elemie Haydel.

Is there any specific info you were looking for? There are some branches of the family I've found quite a bit on, and others where I'm still piecing things together.

For the family of Henry and Odile Rivet, I have 12 children plus a possible 2 more unidentified, but not anyone named Russell. My information on their children ends after the 1920 census. By 1930 Odile had died and Henry can't be found and is presumed dead. The only Russell I could find by then was Lindon's son. I'll be glad to share what I have, and would welcome additional information on this family.

My great great grand mother's name is Phelonise(Felonise)
( i am told she had the name "Rivet" at the time she married my great great grandfather Oliver Laurendeau.) What I don't know is if she was if this was her maiden name or if she was actually married prior. I am also looking for information about this being my great great grandmother.

If anyone knows information about marriage dates it would be helpful.\Thanks

Sorry to be so late to reply. Here is what I have on Zotique Rivet. His was born on 19 May, 1884 to Calixte Rivet and Marie Louise Ethier. He lived in Ottawa. He was a butcher. Some sibblings were Napoleon, Ida, Dona, Joseph. Napoleon,his brother, was a painter.Joseph, my grandfather, was a labour. Joseph had a store on 363 Clarence street, in Ottawa. Calixte, after moving from Sarsfiedl, to Cyrville then to Ottawa died in Ottawa( lived on Nelson st.) My uncle Hector Rivet was the godson of Zotique Rivet Hector was name Arthur Zotique Hector Rivet.

The only think I can suggest to you is try the Searh from ancestry.com again.
I have found a Philomene rivet born in1842 in Assomption Qc. But I did not try you name your are looking for.

I am looking for Phelonise Rivet my great great grand mother, married Oliver Larondeau(Laurendeau).I know my great great grandfather Oliver has a american citizenship and lived in Alpena Michigan US at some point. My great great grandmother was said to be full native woman but I have no idea where she came from. I wish I knew someone in Alpena that could the name Larondeau up for me. I don;t know where to begin looking. I might need to know who Phelonise Rivet parents are???

Just saw your board and we migth have someone in commun. My great grandfather was Calixte Rivet from Assomption Qc, and he had a sister named Marie Delima Rivet born in 1847. Their parents were Pierre Rivet an d Rose Chevalier. Is there any connection with Delia Rivet.

I may have some info regarding Calixte Rivet. He was my great grandfather. He was born in L'Assomption, Qc. His wife was Marie Louise Ethier. Pierre,his brother, was born in Assomption,Qc. Joshep was born in Montcalm, Michigan. Louis was also a brother. He had many sisters also. Calixte's parents were Pierre Rivet from Assomption, born in 1799 and his mother was Rose Chevalier born in 1801. Pierre father was Charles Rivet (1766-1836) and mother was Marie Angelique Bertrand (1773-1868) from Assomption Qc. Charles and Marie Angelique had sons: Charles(1797), Pierre1799), Narcisse(1806), Louis(1809), Nicolas(1810),Antoine(1816) and Cyrille(1821)
My father was Rene Rivet son of Joseph Arthur Rivet son of Calixte Rivet. Zotique Rivet was my father's uncle. Josepth and Zotique were brothers. And yes, Zotique was born in Cyrville, Ontario. But my grandfather, Joseph was from Sasrfield. They also have families in Lefaivre,near Alfred, Ontario.

I also found Zotique's marriage record to Marie Josephine Boyle on 20 Aug 1912 in Basilique Notre Dame Ottawa. It lists Zotique's parents as Calixte and Marie Louise Ethier.

I found another Zotique's marriage record also:

Zotique Rivet to Emma Leger dite Parisien on 19 Jun 1871 in St. Joseph, Orleans. Zotique's parents are Pierre Rivet and Rose Chevalier.

I don't know if this is the same one you're looking for or not, but...I found a birth for:

Arthur Zotique Hector Rivet, b. 21 Aug 1915 in Ste-Anne de Ottawa, to Joseph Rivet and Clarida Rose. (On second thought, probably not...but the godfather to this child is Zotique Rivet, so it is a good bet he is Joseph's brother. I also found a burial record for Calixte's wife, but I kind of assumed you had that already. If not, let me know and I'll look it back up.

I found some information for you:

Narcisse Rivet married Elmira Foucher on 20 Jun 1876 in Basilique Notre Dame in Montreal.

Narcisse was a widower; his first wife's name was Genevieve (Last name difficult to read...looks like it could be Fabanneau).

Elmira's father is listed as Alexis Foucher. Mother's name not listed.

Elmira was born Marie Almira Foucher on 17 Mar 1856 in Ste-Ursule, Maskinonge, Trois-Rivieres, Quebec to Alexis Foucher and Clarisse (looks like Hout or Haut, but I'm not sure).

Calixte was also my grea-great grandfather. He was born in L'Assomption, Quebec, Canada on the 30th April, 1839 and died in Ottawa, 7 Arpil, 1901, He fell from a rooftop. He lived in Sarsfield for awhile and then moved to lowertown in Ottawa.He was married to Marie Louise Ethier and had 5 children,(Florence, Joseph(my grandfather)(1878),Belloni(1879) Napoléon(1881) and Zotique(1883).

I am a descendant of Calixte Rivet and Marie Louise Ehtier.
Calixte was born in L'Assomption, Qc. 30 Apr. 1839 and died in Ottawa, Ontaro, 7 april 1901. His parents were Pierre Rivet(b.6 March 1799 in Assomption) and Rose Chevalier(b.1801). Marie Louise Ethier was born in Sarsfield 12 April, 1850 and died in Ottawa 1916. All children were born is Sarsfield except Zotique was born in Cyrville(Ottawa). Joseph, brother of Zotique, was born 10 April 1878. Joseph was my grandfather. René was my dad, son of Joseph. Joseph had 4 living children( Hector, Laurent, Yvone, René. Lucien died when he was 7 years old). I have traced my ancestors up to 1570. Michel Rivet from La Rochelle, Aunis, France and his wife Marie Thomas b.1575
If any of you have info about Marie Louise Ethier background, I would appreciate any info.

I have made a number of life changes over the past few years. I have found family in Canada on my mothers side and now need to renew my search for my fathers side. His name was Robert Matthias Rivet. He was born in 1922, marrried Marguerite St. Pierre, and died in October 1981.

I'm searching for my grandfathers family James Rivet.The 1901 Ont.census tells me that he was b 1771 in France Immigrated in 1877. On his marriage record 1893 from the North Bay cath.church tells me he was James Reid also known as James Rivet. His father was Thomas Rivet from La Passe Ont.He died in Huntsville,Ont.in 1903 the same year my dad was born (Who had the Reid name)
I have been searching for years. Can find nothing more than what I have posted.

It looks to me that you need information for Quebec Rivets. I only have information on Acadian (Nova Scotia) Rivets. These families are not related; at least not here in the New World.

I am looking for Elizabeth Rivet, who was born in Quebec in 1863 and then immigrated to the US in 1878. She married Wilfrid Courteau and lived in Astoria, Queens until she died in 1945. I have been unable to locate any information about her. Perhaps the spelling of her last name is incorrect since there are quite a few versions of the Rivet name. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure here. Zotique Rivet was my grandfather and he lived in Ottawa. He was married to Geraldine. He had 4 children. If this is him could you send me the history you have on him. Just curious about my ancestry.

It was the Blue Drouin index to which I referred, and it definitely says Calixte m. M-Lse Ethier on 7 Feb 1873, no place given (which is unusual for Drouin index). I did not see the original document.

I show 10 siblings, 4 baptized in St-Sulpice, all others unknown.

Some siblings were married in St-Louis de Gonzague, Beauharnois, so that's another possible place to look.

Calixte is my 4th cousin 3x removed. His parents are Pierre Rivet and Rose Chevalier (m. 2 Oct 1826 in St-Sulpice) according to the Blue Drouin index.

I have other family info on his ancestry, back to Maurice, and show 6 children, two of them married, but no grandchildren. Write to me for more info.

Here is the info I have on Calixte. Maybe you

He had 3 children born in Sarsfied, Ontario
Joseph born April 10, 1878
Belloni (sp?)born December 19, 1879
Napoleon born June 19 1881
They then moved to Cyrville Ontario where my Grandfather
Zotique was born May 13 1883
They finally moved to Ottawa a short time later where Calixte died April 7 1901
My grandfather married Josephine Boyle and proceded to have 4 children, my father Oscar born June 7 1913 being the eldest.Zotique died in 1953
If you want more info just ask, I'll be glad to share dates and whatnot.

This is what i have my gggrandmother was Rose Delima Brazeau daughter of Marie-Elizabeth Rivet(Rivest)b:6 Nov 1830 St.Sulpice L'Assumption Quebec and Louis Brazeau b:1825 Quebec and died 1874 Quebec Marie died 1874 Quebec. I need dates on Rose Delima and any and all siblings I don't know if this is Acadian or not any help would be appreciated
