My grandfather was Courtland Rizer from Walterboro, SC. The first Rizer in our tree was George Reiser who arrived in the winter of 1750 aboard the ship Friends Good Hope at Cape fear river. They had to walk to Charleston to get their land grants. George was given 50 acres in Orangeburg District. now Newberry county. He married Francisa "Counts". George fought in the Revolutionary was. he changed the spelling to Riser They had 5 sons and 3 daughters. My line followes the 5th son, John. He moved to Barnwell and changed the spelling to Rizer. He married Mary Ann Daniel. They had 3 children. Christian Rizer had 3 wives. the 2nd wife followes our line. Her name was Mary Walker. They had seven children. My Great Great Grandfather was Isham Nathaniel. He married Carrie Warren. They also had 7 children. my Great Grandfather Marion Isham married Corine Bull. They lived in Lodge and had 3 Children. Courtland, Caroline and I.N. Does anyone fit into this Rizer family??
