I am looking for any information regarding the families from which these two people decended. These were my g-g-grandparents. Any help at all would be very appreciated as these are my dead end. I would love to know the names of their parents or siblings.

According to census information, they were both born in North Carolina. They married and lived in Union County, Georgia as of the 1850 census. Rebecca was living in Cherokee County, North Carolina with her children while William Sherman was in the Civil War. He died of smallpox about 1862 in Chattanooga.
