Take a look at the 1900 Federal Census for Ohio, Muskingum County, Springfield Twp., District 62, line 47, p. 17, continued upon p. 18 of 31 pages at Ancestry.com

Listed was a Frank (difficult to read) Robbins, age 43 yrs.,born in January in Kentucky, both parents born in Ohio. He was a railroad laborer. His wife was listed as Clara (?;perhaps... difficult to distinguish; could be another given name)born in Pennsylvania and both her parents born in Germany. She was 36 years of age.

Pearl E. Robbins was listed as a son of those, mentioned above, on page 18. There were several other sons and daughters listed for Frank Robbins and his wife.

Sometimes the given name, Frank, was a nickname used for those whose given name actually was Francis. Whether this is true with respect to the Robbins head ofhousehold in this 1900 census is unknown.

I am not related, insofar as I know, to this line of Robbins. Perhaps this data will assist your search. Good luck.

They had 6 children, one of them being my great grandmother.

Hi, I am looking for anyone who might have any info that might help me in my research. I am looking for the family of William F. Robbins who married Katherine Kelly they had a daughter Myrtle Robbins born 1-29-1905 in St Louis Missouri. We have no info on William but do know as of 1910 he wasn't with Katherine and Myrtle who are in the 1910 St Louis Missouri census with Katherine's parents John P. Kelly and Mary Grounds Kelly and Frank kelly. The Kelly's and Robbins lived quite a few years in St Louis Missouri. Also looking for the family of John P. Kelly, we know his father was also a John P. Kelly who was married to a Catherine Feenie both born i Ireland. Also looking for Mary Grounds Family, her and John were married in 1879 in Ohio and she was also born in Ohio. Do you know when your Jessie Robbins was born? I have a Jessie Robbins in my tree that was the son of Jessie Robbins and brother of Michael Robbins my gr-gr-gr-grandfather. I have nothing more about Jessie, Jr. but his name date and place of birth and death.

Michael Robbins was my gr-gr-gr-grandfather. He was born in South Carolina, the son of Jesse Robbins and an unknown mother. Jamima Croft could not have been Michael's mother since she was only 2 yrs older than Michael. My Michael Robbins was married to Mary Elizabeth Boyd. They are both buried in Lawler Baptist Church Cemetery, I'm not sure if that is in Walker or Jefferson County. Granddaddy Michael did serve in the War of 1812. My Jemima Robbins, Michael's daughter, was married to John Martin Jacks and Joseph Berry Lively.

I know nothing about a tornado that killed the Robbins---please fill me in. When and where did it happen?

My Robbins family is also from Lee County, Virginia. Let's compare notes. You said Elijah was our father, who was your mother? I have Elijah, born 15 Feb 1872, with three marriages: 1) Margaret Rosa Mullens (Mullins), 2) Martha J. Holmes and 3) Nannie Lewis. Nannie may have been his first marriage - I do not have a date but she is the only one whom I have any children listed for Elijah. They are: James, Andrew, Mary, Daisy, Maria, Ruby, Virginia.

Let me know if this is your family. If not - I am still interested in what you have on Gale Robbins married to Martha Mollie Robbins.

I keep seeing Samuel Robbins and Elizabeth Wallace but unable to find out what the proof of that is? Went to the library and all the info I can find so far is that John Robbins was: of French-English descent, was a Baptist minister whop reached througout South Eastern Missouriand died in Johnson County, Illinois. I am looking for the family of a late Darrell Wayne Robbins that passed in 1980. We were told that Darrell was buried at the Garden of Crystahniums a memorial garden. Do you know by any chance of a Winny or Winnifred Robbins? who may have married a Chism? They were in Overton county, TN. We have had our DNA tested and we match the Robbins surname. Even though we are a Chisum by surname. Elisha Chisum married Elizabeth Walden, first wife, Lincoln county, Kentucky 1787, second wife Winny? She was attending church at the Spring Creek Church with Captain Elijah Chisum and Lucy Clairborn Chisum, she was dismissed by letter in 1805, she migrated to ARk. Lawrence county, where Elisha died in 1827, She has a son George Washington Childers, also Benjamin Chism who married Polly Walker, daughter of John Adam Walker. Does any of this sound familiar to you?
