Charles Robey (Roby) married Susannah Copeland in Jefferson Co., Ohio, in 1827. They had at last three children - Jane (b. 1828), Jonathan (b. 1831), Elizabeth (b. 1841). Charles is in 1830 Jefferson Co. census but do not find him in 1840. In 1850 census Susannah and the three children (and her brother James) are in Jeff. Co. but Charles is no longer there. All later went to Iowa. Jane and Elizabeth married brothers named Merrill & moved to Buchanan Co. Iowa (Jane married Jesse, Elizabeth married Joseph). Am looking for info on parents/family of this Charles Roby. Jonathan Roby's death certificate says his father was born in either Ohio or Pennsylvania
