Looking for confirmatory information of Gils Robin (1) (wife was Marie Videte, born about 1735)being from Trinidad, French West Indies. The first and only record of this family being from Trinidad is in book, Early Settlers on the Delta which gives no substantiating evidence. This family moved to St. Bernard parish in Louisiana about 1755-1770 and is well documented from there. Need info on his and wife's parentage, place of birth, etc. Listed in some La records as de Robin, Roben, Robine, and Robain
