I am searching for information on William Robins, a sailor, and Maria Mahurin, a 16 year old Hughenot he married in Boston, Mass. in 1856-1857; her family disowned her. Their first son was Charles William Robins born in 1857. Marie was pregnant with second son in 1863 - but she died giving birth. William was at sea - Civil War?- went down with his ship? Second son was adopted by young couple - Charles was adopted by Alonzao and Lurinda Russell of Lowell, Mass. I would like to find Charles' birth records. He has been such a mystery to our family for years!!
