Hiram Robi(n)son and his wife, Nancy Victoria Smallwood Robi(n)son left Georgai sometime after the 1880 census and ended up in Oklahoma. Hiram was born 11/17/1847 and died 1/4/1920.
I am a great grandson of Leannah Robison who's father was Alexander Robison and who's mother was Nancy Wagaman. My name is Kent Rock. The Robisons are on my my father,Dennis', side. Leannah was his paternal grandmother. They came west with the Mormons in the 1850's and settled first in Utah then homesteaded in eastern Idaho. I grew up just through the mile from the original homesite.

There are quite a few Robisons in that area who are related. I would be interested in any information that you have. I have pictures and a couple life histories of Alexander and Nancy Robison as well as of Leannah.

Leannah is buried in a Rock family section of the Rexburg, Idaho Cemetery along with her son David and grandson Dennis. Others of my ancestors, both Rocks and Robisons, are also buried there.

I don't have an Edna Robison in any of my information. How is she tied into the Alexander Robision line?

I would love to receive any information that you have and would be happy to share what I have. My email address is rockfam1@msn.com.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kent Rock

According to the 1920 Census, sisters Cora, Bertie and Eura (Daughters of David C Robison and Calista "Lissie" Bishop of Tennessee)were living together in Chester County Tennessee after the death of Eura's husband John E Poole. I cannot find record of them in the 1930 census. Does anyone have info on where these went from Chester? I know that Eura died in Leflore, MS in 1974.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

tb

My Robisons are out of Oregon by way of Tennessee and the Oregon Trail so I don't know if any of our lines cross, but...

It seems highly unlikely that your two Williams would be brothers with the same name but the way names evolved "back in the day" is it possible that Riley became "Lee" as a nickname? When were your respective Williams born?

Just thinkin'

Also, there was a very expansive Robison family in Oregon which I haven't connected to my line but they are well-document and I know that there is a Roy. They were mostly in Lower Fishtrap.

tb

My great-aunt Alma Brooks married a man named Mac Sterling Robison who was from California. They moved back to Oklahoma when he became ill. He passed away there. Alma was from Oklahoma to begin with. Her parents were Georgia Brazil Brooks and Finis Bates Brooks from Wetumka, OK. But Mac Sterling Robison was from CA.
Alma and Mac Sterling lived in San Bruno, CA at one point. They had sons and a daughter but I only know the name of one son--Wayne. I have photos of Alma and Mac's family and relatives, if anyone has links to my Robisons.
Looking for info regarding where and when Tyndall S Robison(Son of Richard W and Martha Jane Swain Robison. Brother of Lotus, Olive, Marie, Josephine and Walter. Husband of Harriett G ______ Robison.) died and was buried.

The last confirmed residence I have was in Bonanza Oregon in 1942, according to his mother's obit. I also have a Heppner-Times Gazette (Oregon paper) clipping from 1950 that states that several couples were to be traveling to Mt. Hebron, CA where they would be guests of Mr. and Mrs. Tyndall Robison.

It just seems so strange that he was constantly written about in the Oregon paper but there seems to be nothing surrounding his death and burial.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Willis Robison

I have had a brick wall (my grgrandfather) William Harrison Robison for thirty years. He was born in AL 1836 according to census. Census give his parents as being born in SC. I have found a death certificate in St. Louis 1907 for Harrison Robison which I think is him and the name of the father is Willis. The mother is not known. I have ordered an obit to verify this is my ancestor. I hope our Willis is the same--not a common name.
