Great grandfather; JOSE ROBLEDO, born abt. 1900 / possibly Hays Co, Texas. Son of ADREAS ROBLEDO.
Jose died 1941 Tarrant Co, Texas.
Jose Robledo married MARIA M. MEDINA; they had three sons:
BENCIO ROBLEDO, ( AKA. BEN ROBLEDO) born abt. 1917/ Texas.
EDWARDO N. ROBLEDO;( AKA. EDWARD ROBLEDO) born abt. 1916 / Texas.

Does anyone know anything about the Robledo and de la O families of Jaralito/Mapimi/Bermejillo, Durango area? My name is Jaime Robledo. My dad's name is San Juan Robledo. My mom's name is Leonor Cardoza (Guanajuato). My dad's mom was Refugia Robledo. My dad's dad was Juan de la O. That's about all I know about my family. My family rarely told us much about their ancestors and I'm not sure they know as they came to the U.S. relatively early.

This is my first time looking into my mother's side of her family. So Please bear with me.
Looking into my grandfather Santiago Robledo and extend to his father's line Pablo Robledo. They are all from Guanajuato. My GGrandfather Pablo Robledo, married into family of a Julia Sanchez....
Majority of the family of Robledo family still currently live in Guanajuato, just in or about the outskirts of Campo, or near..if im correct, but the rest do live in California where just only the daughters of Santiago live.
Quijas, on the other hand are from France. Would appreciate any info to the names of Pablo Robledo and Julia Sanchez would help.

My grandfather Heladio Robledo Montante was born in San Luis Potosi in 1880. I have a photo of him with is wife and children taken in Guanajuato in 1911. Previous to that he lived in Tampico. I have always felt he had relatives in Guanajuato. If you look at my previous postings there is more family info there.If you post the family names you know, it would help others to connect the families

Jose Maria Robledo married Dolores Colunga b.1828
their son Francisco Robledo b.1850 San Luis Potosi married Angela Montante b.1860 Mexico City. their children
Heladio Robledo Montante b. 1880 San Luis Potosi died 1958 Coyoacan Mexico, married Margaret Sarah Edgar in Tampico? around 1902.

Ester Robledo Montante ?
Lidia Robledo Montante ?

Some of this came from the Baptism record of Heladio Robledo. My father remembers his brother Francisco, last seen in El Paso around 1942. An old family letter mentions the sisters Lidia and Ester, and I have Lidia listed as a godmother on a baptism record in Tampico of an Edgar child around 1900.
Mt grandfather Heladio Robledo Edgar b. 1903 Chicago grew up in Tampico, and moved to San Antonio about 1926 with his parents and siblings. I beleive they left Mexico because of the Cristero Revolution of that year. My grandfather had previously attended Rice Institute in Houston, but left to serve as a cavarly officer in the 1920 Revolution. I have spent years looking through microfilmed records from San Luis Potosi trying to build the family tree and have found very little on my family. The relatives in Mexico don't seem to know anything. My grandfather said his grandfather told him our Robledos come from Villavisciosa, Spain. It is in Asturias between Gijon and Oviedo. When I checked the FamilySearch website for there I found many Robledo and Colunga families, so it may be correct, but i don't have any document to support it.
I have recently had a Y-DNA test done to find the ethnic origin of the Robledos and will post a website as soon as I have all the results in.

I am very interested if you are from same family roots as mine,since it is such a small town- it's posibble we may be related. There are many Robledos in Huamnimaro (my grandmother's line) and many living in U.S. now. Can you name some of your Robledo ancestors , or some who still live there? I'm sorry, but my great, great, grand father Joaquin passed away in the 1940's on a ranch in Old El Paso. Survived by his
great grand daughter Atonia Robledo in El Paso. But its a long story to say.

Hello, yes, Joaquin Robledo is my father. He lives with me in my home in California. My father is 72 years old, was born in the United States, he grew up in Mexico with his grandparents, then married and moved to Texas. He and my mother had two sons and one daughter . . . me.

I am part of the Robledo's from Aguadilla, P.R. My great-grandfather was Jaime Robledo from Aguadilla, P.R. My grandfather's name was also Jaime Robledo. He lived in P.R. until moving to Houston, TX and then here to Atlanta, GA where he passed away 6 years ago. He was married to Saturnina Alicea and had 2 kids. My dad, James, and my uncle, Jerry. All our family lives here in Atl, and my uncle lives in Lancaster, PA. Hope this info is helpful to anyone who wants it.

Your Granfather was absolutely right because it is my understanding that this Robledo's families came from Andalucia Spain a very beautiful place as I have ask the people from Spain and they have also confirm to me that this name is well recognize from that particular place called Andalucia. i am looking for information on manuel robledo. i thank he had a brother named juan robledo and two sisters named augistina and elena. i think that juan moved to california. any information would be appreciated.

my father was also named manuel robledo he married clara and they lived in los angeles. he met some of his cousins in california. my father passed away in 1982 and with him went all information on the robledos.

i am looking for relatives on my fathers side. I do not know much about my grandfather, manuel robledo. I know that he married guadalupe castro and they had three children. one male child died at an early age and the second male child manuel is my father. they lived in el paso texas. guadalupe moved to california with her son manuel and his family. i think that my grandfather manuel died in el paso in 1967. if anyone has any information on the robledos that are related to me i would be so thankful.

My grandmother's name was Enriqueta Robledo (maiden name Aguilera) and she married very young and had three or four children in El Paso, TX around 1928 - 1935 then apparently re-married and moved to California. My Greatgrandmother was Rosa Falcon. All I know is that my grandfather was from Villalba, but his family could had come from Ponce. It could be that Rosa Falcon was from Villalba, PR. I grew up in Trujillo Alto. Nearby T.A. is St. Just, and there was a family by the name of Gillot, they are also descendents from Rosa Falcon's family (sisters, cousins, etc.) The last time I knew, they owned an Auto Part store. They are very well know in the area.

Sorry that its taken a while to get back to you. I just visited with my father this past week and he remembers very little of the relatives of Matilde Robledo(his godfather). He remembers Maltilde and he thinks an Enrique Robledo and possibly a Manuel that worked with Matilde in the Silver City area of New Mexico either for the railroad or the mines. He is not sure though if they were his brothers. He remembers that some of the family moved to California and learned later that Matilde's son Matilde Jr. had remained in El Paso. He may be your key to this family, he would be in his 70s. Matilde Robeldo Sr. was about the same age as my grandfather, born abt. 1899-1900. Sorry I couldn't get you more information. Hi I am trying to find information on Benjamin Robledo. All I know about him is he was born 1920 in California. He was married to a Donna Jean Hagedorn. The have a daughter named Beverlee Robledo (b) May 13,1959 and a daughter Cheri (b) 1960 both in California. Beverlee Lost contact with her father in 1981 or 1982, she said he was very sick and does not know if he has passed away or not.Beverlee would like to find more info, on her Robledo side of the family. Her mother never talked about that side after they divorced, now her mother has pasted away and she knows nothing about her family. My paternal great-grandfather Joseph Robledo, and his wife Maria (Nieto) Robledo immigrated to California from San Luis Potosi pre-1920. They settled in Long Beach by 1920, then in Norwalk by the 1940s.

Oh My God!!! Yes! Yes! Yes!... My father is Jesus Robledo, born in Rio Piedras Puerto Rico on February 29,1936 (leap year). His mother was Inez Figueroa Robledo of Rio Piedras, PR and she died in 1980. "Zoila" is my father's older sister who died of colon cancer in Puerto Rico in 1983. My father Jesus Robledo died in 1988 in Atlantic City, New Jersey (Retired Master Seargeant of US Air Force).When my father retired from the Air Force in 1975 we moved to Ferriday, Louisiana. My mother is Gwendolyn Carolyn Jackson Robledo. She's still alive in Louisian and is now 62 yrs old! I have two older sisters Mirna Robledo (Martin) and Colleen Robledo (Reed). Mirna's in Idaho, and Colleen is in Atlantic City, NJ where my father Jesus Robledo was an Engineering Shift Manager for the Tropicana (Trop-World) Casino. He is buried in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetary (near Atlantic City, NJ, where he has a flat headstone on his grave with all the info. on it. He died of cancer....My name is Carolyn Zoila Robledo his youngest dauther (35 years old now), but I now use my middle name, "Zoila" Robledo.

Do you know of any connection to Mexico? I have a Robledo connection through the Edgar family in Tampico. They came from Scotland and England to the U S , then to Tampico MX around 1900. There was a lot of industrial development at the time.Oil, mining, and railroad, all drawing experienced men from the U K. , who often married into local families. In my case an Edgar daughter married into the Robledo family from San Luis Potosi. There is some connection back to Britan here, as a relative -Edgar StJohn Scott, died in WW2 while in the RAF.
There is also a possibilty of a connection to Spain, the origin of the name, my grandfather said that his Robledo family came to Mexico from Villaviciosa, a village in Galicia around Santander.
Robledo is known as a surname throughout north and central Spain.

Hi! My father's name is Joaquin Robledo, Sr. who was born in 1931 in Chicago. However, he grew up in the San Luis Potosi, Mexico area with his grandparents. My father's parents names were Constancio Robledo and Evarista Flora Loredo. They had many children. My grandparents were married in approximately 1928. My father was born in 1931.
