From "The St. Paul Globe", St. Paul, Minn.,
dated December 26, 1893:

Frozen To Death

Special to the Globe.
Grand Forks, N. D., Dec. 25. - The
body of Charles Roch, a farmer living
in the southwestern corner of the county,
was found in the snow near the Fort
Totten reservation, eight miles west
from Larimore. Roch was in Larimore
Saturday, the 17th inst., and partially
intoxicated. It is supposed he lost his
way and perished in the storm. The
coroner is investigating.

Most Canadian ROCH families come from those 2 principal groups:

THOUIN dit ROCH
FUSEAU dit ROCH

A few may get you into other families, like Larocquebrune or others that I may don't know about, but generaly speaking the vaste majority of ROCH in Quebec are descendants of one of those two, particularly in the Lanaudiere region.

Also, do not forget to look at all spelling variations too: Roch, Rock, Rocque, Roque, Roc

Your surname Ruo Roch is something different. We descend from the Franch Family Fuseau that became Roch after 2 generations.

I had a great uncle who was a doctor Dr Sylvio Roch borned in St-Gabriel de Brandon his wife was Alby Armstrong who died of the Spanish Influenza. Sylvio married afterwards Maude Farant the 2 known children of her are Jeanne Roch and Allen Roch.
