I have the same information, that he died in about 1900. The 1900 census lists him in Arlington, Tarrant County, Texas. He is not listed in the Arlington Cemetery found online on the Arlington Public Library's genealogy page. I'd like to exchange information with you. Our family came from Newcastle and my husbands G/Gfather was Allen or Allan Rochester which seems to be a family christian name. His son was also Allen came to Western Australia with his family in 1911.

Our family came from around Newcastle and my husband's g/grandfather moved to Western Australia in 1911. I have a lot of info about them in Australia and some from in England. G/Gfather's name was Allen or Allan Rochester born Newcastle on Tyne in 1828.

Many thanks for the prompt reply! Unfortunately I cannot contact you directly as i only have guest status to Ancestry. The names Richard and Sarah seem familiar to me but as I am writing this without my research in front of me I cannot be sure! I will check this out and come back to you but feel sure we are related, but I would be interested to see your line back to Richard and Sarah if that is possible? I know we definitely have a Richard Rochester and Jane Finch in our tree, perhaps you do too? I think from memory Richard was son of Richard?

I now have my Rochester line back to Richard Rochester born circa 1765, probably in Enfield/Shoreditch area and married to Sarah Waller born circa 1765 (there are 2 or 3 Sarah Waller's born in Enfield/Shoreditch area at that time and not sure which one is the correct one). They had a large number of children all born in Enfield/Shoreditch area.

Does anyone know when and where Edwin Taylor Rochester (son of Charless Hannah Rochester and Emma Welch Helm)died? We think it was somewhere in Texas, possible Tarrant Co. He was born in 1838 in Danville, Kentucky and married Emma (Welch) Helm in 1868. Perhaps died in 1900?

William and Phillis Dunkin had two sons;
William Rochester - no offspring
John Rochester I who married Hester Thrift and had two sons who had children:
Nathaniel Rochester -who founded Rochester NY
John Rochester - who married first -Ann Jordan - 11 children, second Ann McClannahan - on child

Of particular interest, your message states that Fannie Fleece is the daughter of Nicholas Fleece and Artemisia Rochester. In "The House of Rochester in KY", it shows the following:

Betty Lou Rochester was born June 19, 1932. She was 94 years old. She passed away Monday, Sept. 4, 2006.

Betty was married to Richard Nelson Rochester and they brought six wonderful children into this world.

She enjoyed life and laughter. She loved working hard and in the later years of her life, she enjoyed her television programs.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband and both of their parents.

She requested no services and will be cremated and laid to rest in Moses Lake.

I found two photo buttons, about 5 inches in diameter. One is of a lady about 25. On the back is written Alice Lillian McDaniel. The other is of a man about 30. On the back is written Jack Purvis (1924), first husbanc of Alice McDaniel Rochester. My assumption is that Alice married a Rochester after Jack.

My father was Lloyd Richard Rochester of Seneca, S. C. in Oconee Cty., S.C....I know nothing of my ancestry and would fervently like to know...He had two brothers, names: G eorge and Henry...his mother was Eliza Rhodes Browning...I have tried the Mormon Church, but they found nothing as well as, a firm in England. I simply cannot believe that a family can disappear. have no where to go.

Trying to locate ancestors of my greatx3 grandfather, Thomas Rochester, born in Enfield, Middlesex, England in 1806. I have information on this line of the family.

In addition I am in touch with another researcher who has William Rochester born similar year and same area as Thomas. According to the information provided by this researcher, one of William's decendents set up the Jane Austen Memorial Trust in Chawton, Hampshire, England.

Would like to try and find any links to Thomas, William, their ancestors, either in UK or USA.

Trying to find further details about Thomas Rochester, my greatx3 grandfather. I know his wife was Sarah (maiden name possibly Harvey but needs confirmation) and he had at least six children, all born Hackney area, names of which I have found.

George's parents were James F and E.S.. They were in Clayton County, GA in 1860.
Parents of James F were Nicholas P and Jincy who lived in Pickens Co., SC.
Parents of Nicholas P is not proven but believed to be William Rochester and Sarah Whitten , buried at Old Stone Church near Pendleton, SC. We have plenty of information on the ancesters of William.

Check out website of Perry Rochester, also a descendent of Nicholas P.

My great-grandfather John Rochester was born in North Shields in 1854, and emigrated to Australia.
I believe his father was George Rochester, born approx. 1810 and became a master mariner on the Tyne River. However, I've not been able to go further back than this. Can anyone help?
