Louisa married Constant Cauwenberg.

I was wondering if Louis and Jenny had other children.

Michigan Rod Family

I would like to communicate with families of John Rod who was Sheriff of Monroe County, Michigan from 1897 to 1901. He was my grandmother's father. I would love to learn more about this side of the family.
Children's names were:
Henry J. born 1870, Henrietta born 1873, John C. born 1875, Minnie (my grandmother) born 1878 and Clara born Feb 1880 and Alphonso born 1885

there is a farm in sauda norway called rodland (in the early 1800s).other names are rodstjorna and rodsasane.all with the slash thru the o.in about 1880 ole a. rod from sauda staked out land in grafton n.d.i have discoverd this while searching my history.our family farm name was fosstviet it was just below the rodland farm.my great aunts name was ellen samuelsdatter rod.in 1897 my grandparents searched for gold in dawson creek.they were traveling with another family possibly the rods.as a rod traveled straight from sauda to dawson creek in the same time period.if this is helpfull let me know? thanks.

My ancestors were Amel Rod and Mary June (Lee)Rod.
I was born on their 80 acre farm in Minnesota between Cambridge and Princeton. The records were in Isanti Co. I don't know much about the Rod family except I was told Amel was Norwegian. They had 2 daughters Irma and Doris.

hi doc. i found out thru other posting response that Rod was a translation for red. have been told that it likely meant they had red hair. my rod's date back at least to late 1700's marthin jensen/rod father of morton jensen(1838 toreby),who dropped the rod to jensen. he was my ggfather. i believe my line is swedish/ danish /german.
i'd love to read your info so please respond, faster than i did. somehow i never rec'd notice of it, perhaps i deleated it in error. thanks jo

hello i've been trying to find info regarding ancestry from late 1700 to mid 1800
if you can help at all i will be ever so thankful. my info shows back to MARTHIN JENSEN ROD with a slash(/) thru the o, had married bodil hansdatter - no dates for either but they had 3 children i know of: anders jakob (1845), caroline marie (1845) both listed as jensen rod and morton jensen (1838). please respond to this forum. then we can get this board going. joa-michigan,usa
