Joseph Rodecker, born ca. 1829 in Ohio was married to a Carrie and living in Niantic, Macon, Illinois by 1870 census. At 1880 census they are in Springfield, Sangamon, Illinois with a 7 y/o son Charles. There is also an 1880 census listing for a Joseph and Carrie Rodecker in St. Louis, MO, same info as the 1880 Sangamon. I believe Carrie Rodecker is same as one appears 1900 census in Peoria listed as married, although no spouse. Portion of a notation on 1900 census not "filmed" by Ancestry.com, note "likely to be taken - - -, indicating families may appear elsewhere. John possibly a merchant or "developer" Anyone know who John is? Because an Ambrose Tolberd is in h/h of John and Carrie at 1880 Sangamon, I suspect possible a sister as Ambrose did have a sister by that name. Correct?
