Looking for any information on Michael John Roer
who lived in Easter Kentucky near the border
of Pike and Floyd counties at the head of Island
Creek at a place known as Pigeon Roost. He was
married to Elizabeth Jane Irick. The had 8 children
between 1864 1885. He vanished sometime after
1885 and my greatgrandmother raised the children.
I find no reference before the 1870 census. Did he
come from southwestern Virginia and could his name
