I am Rachel Roggenkamp, daughter of Robert Roggenkamp who is the son of Louie (Ludwig) Roggenkamp, who was the son of Joseph and Veronica Roggenkamp of Bluffton, MN and had a brother named Henry (or Heinrich) I found some more information on the Ellis Island website. Joseph and Heinrich came over on March 21, 1901, with their father Joseph Roggenkamp age 39 at the time. Joseph was 13, and Heinrich was 16. They were on the Ship Lahn which departed from Bremen, Germany. And they were from Haldorf, Germany. On the manifest from what I could make out they Joseph the father had more than $30 dollars and payed for Joseph and Heinrichs passage. And they were going to meet Josephs brother in law in Melrose, William Otto? I believe that George is my grandfathers brother who lives in Washington right now.
