Margaret Linsemeier was born August 17, 1869 in Nankendorf (Bavaria) Germany and died on October 28, 1935 in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Margaret is my great grandmother.

Margaret was survived by her husband, George Rohman; her five children: Mrs. Gertrude Adeline Hensel of Huntley, Illinois; George Rohman, Jr. of Elgin, Illinois; and Margaret Peterson, Louis Rohman, and Paul Rohman, each of Crystal Lake, Illinois; and her sister, Mrs. Gertrude Reichold of Chicago.

Margaret's father was George Linsemeier of Nankendorf, Germany. Margaret's mother was Kunigunda Braun of Rottenback, Germany. George Linsemeier and Kunigunda Braun are my great, great grandparents.

Margaret and George Rohman sailed from Bremen and Southhampton on the Steamship SS Fulda, arriving in port of New York on May 28, 1889. (On the ship's manifesto their names were spelled as follows: Georg Ruhmann and Margth Linsemeier. I do not know when George changed the spelling of his last name to Rohman). From the port of New York, Margaret and George travelled to Crystal Lake, Illinois (where they lived until their deaths).

George Rohman (Margaret's husband) was born July 20, 1866 in Haubendorf, Germany. He died on April 11, 1943 in Crystal Lake, Illinois. George Rohman was my great grandfather. The five children mentioned above survived George as well.

George Rohman's father was Paul Rohman and his mother was Margaret Gieseregen. These folks are my great, great grandparents. George was the youngest of 13 children, and the only member of the family to come to the United States.

The Five Children of George Rohman and Margaret Linsemeier Rohman:

Gertrude Adeline Hensel: born in Chicago on August 29, 1889. Married to Herman Hensel. Died in Huntley, Illinois on June 21, 1944. Gertrude and Herman had three daughters (Marjorie Dekker of Holland, Michigan, Dorothy Albrecht of Elgin, Illinois, and Arlene Hensel of Huntley, Illinois) and two sons (George Stewart Hensel and Miles Stewart Hensel, each of Elgin, Illinois)

Margaret Peterson: born January 14, 1893. Married Hans Peterson on February 26, 1920. Do not have date of death, but it was sometime in the early 1970s.

George H. Rohman, Jr.: born in Crystal Lake, Illinois on March 13, 1891. Died in Elgin, Illinois on November 23, 1957. His wife's name was Marie Lowery. He and Marie had one son, Charles L. Rohman of Elgin, Illinois

Louis W. Rohman: born in Crystal Lake, Illinois on June 14, 1894. Died in Woodstock, Illinois on October 19, 1971.
