Thanks for the reply. I have found some information since my last posting. Not everything is confirmed, but it gives me some starting points.
Paul Rawlings b.ca1671 England, St. Stephan Coleman Street, London d. Aug 1744 Prince George's Co, Md. He married Catherine Johnson ca 1695 Prince George's Co, MD. They had one known son (to me), Bernard Johnson Rawlings.
Bernard Johnson Rawlings was b. 1700 Charles Co, MD and d. ca 1778. He married Martha (Litton?). They had Elijah James Rollins Sr. and a possible other son, Moses b. ca 1764.
Elijah James Rollins Sr. was b. ca 1759 MD and d. ca 1810. He married Elizabeth McGill on 6 Aug 1778 Prince George's Co, MD. They had 10 children, one being Elijah James Rollins Jr.
Elijah James Rollins Jr. was born ca 1788 MD and d. 15 Aug 1857 Jackson Co, VA (WV) buried at Skidmore (Carney) Cem. on Tug Fork. He married three times.
1. Lucretia Casto on 6 Aug 1806 Randolph Co, Va d/o William Casto and Hannah Bonnett. (14 children)
2. Mary Bartel (Battrell) on 10 Jan 1847 Jackson Co, VA (WV) (no children)
3. Sophia Tillis (widow Hart) on 21 May 1849 Jackson Co, VA (WV) (1 child)
Elijah Jr. was raised at the Buchannon Settlement, he moved to Mill Creek about 1811, then about 1816 he was the first white settler of Tug Fork.
I decend from his son John M. Rollins and his wife Mary Margaret Hoffman.
Hope this helps.
