Surnames: Romaine, Sutley
People keep telling me that Romaine is not Italian, though I am an Italian Romaine. Does any one have any relation, or information to the following records I found for Ellis Island:
Giacomo Romaine, age 28 in 1914, Cordenas Italy, North;
or Sebastiano Romaine? Both arrived on the same ship in May of 1914.
I also found in the social security death index, a James Romaine, born in May of 1914.
